As Dr. James, the lead vocalist of DJB Rock Band, I've had an incredible journey with music. My passion for music blossomed during my high school years in the early 90s, and forming the band Nplaim Dej allowed me to connect with our community by performing locally in Long Beach, Orange County, and San Diego.

Detney is a Hmong-American singer-songwriter and independent artist, Charlotte-made and Hickory-raised. From a young age, she was drawn to singing and songwriting, with Pop and R&B artists serving as major influences.
